I think I've figured out why I was confused. The points that go into equipment isn't for the actual equipment itself, but the skill ranks to use the equipment, right? You also need to acquire the equipment somehow.

No, you can choose to spend some of your skill points purely on equipment. For instance, Caged Maiden spent 1 point on a Bag of Holding.

Yes...my mistake...only STARTING EQUIPMENT can be bought with points. After that you have to have enough STEEL. I apologize for any confusion.

Yes, that's right. You can "buy" starting equipment with points. However, any adjustments or upgrades to that equipment have to be made with steel. The reason we decided that is that so players can start out with somewhat spectacular items instead of the standard "long sword, buckler, chain mail" deal that a lot of games use.

So yes, you can spend Skill points to get pieces of equipment, but it's a one time thing. Thereafter, steel is used for anything involving equipment (buying new, upgrades, mods, magical enchantment, etc.)

Part 5

You guys are making a lot of work for me & Phil

Since the elemental is a 2nd life of sorts to the former life. They could get the ability from the fact, their body is composed of the earth around .

Ok, Element List:
Fire
Water (and Ice)
Earth
Metal
Air
Light
Shadow
Wild/Nature

Metal most likely wont make it

hows that?

I would think metal would fall under golems

Too similar to Clockworks

we'll need a replacement

Will there be a difficulty ranking on the Bounty Board so we don't charge head-first into a super difficult quest? Or does it not matter?

I think we can do that. More than likely the quests will be pretty evenly balanced. I'll look at the quests and try to determine a difficulty level. Thanks for the question.

Edit: Ok, I added difficulty based on a party of four. This can be adjusted up or down in difficulty depending on how big your party is.

For example:

Party of 4 (Average)=Party of 6 (Easy)=Party of 2 (Hard)

Something like that.
