The International calendar is a good idea. Anyone who wants something different at home can have it. Is the one proposed by Myrddin how we're going to go ? Works for me and in the long run I dont know that fretting over what day it is will be a major component of the saga.
There could be reams of discussion on just this aspect of the Archipelago alone. A common International calendar implies some collusion, involvement and/or co-operation between the races who recognise it, how detailed do we need to get ?
