That doesn't check out, since Sigrlinn pushed the green button, which is Instinct, and she had to roll Grace too.

You have your Huntress stats back. Before, you rolled fairy stats. You have your body back (or your character thinks or feels like she does). Power and Instinct are 3 and Grace is 2 for Huntresses.

That doesn't really explain why I'm now rolling a different stat entirely for the exact same action, regardless of size.

That's not what I mean. What I mean is, whatever the LAST button pushed is, BOTH of us have to roll it (or at least, that's my guess). Who pushes it doesn't matter.

If that's the case, we're best off with Grace, because Kell has 4 dice for that and Sigrlinn has 2 for a total of 6. If we went with Kell's second best option, Power, that would be 3 dice for Sigrlinn and 2 for Kell, for a total of only 5. And if we went with Instinct, that would be 3 for Sigrlinn and only 1 for Kell, for a combined total of only 4 dice.

Ireth, what you asked about previously was Instinct, not Talent/Grace. I don't know what you used in the simulator, but you asked about Instinct.

I don't know why both you and LS are ignoring my *correct* theory (not the one you misinterpreted), but if my guess is wrong, I suppose it doesn't matter. We're still better off with Talent/Grace in any event.

Well, we're better off with Grace except on Defense. If we can only roll Grace 1x for the force field, we're better off using Power to try to pull up.

Yes, grace is most likely to succeed. If you both make the same kind of maneuver, I add the rolls. You can probably guess if two pilots try two different maneuvers in the same vehicle, I won't be using a plus sign.

Yes, I just got confused about which was which since the numbers are similar. I've figured it out now, so no problem.

EDIT: Crap, I rolled wrong too! Guess I should've read more closely. Does my 2 still count?

The more I read about Heph, the more he reminds me of one of my characters. :D I have guy named Allan who's a janitor at a magic school; he has a clubfoot and his close companion is a semi-sentient Roomba. (I swear this character's been around since like 2009, I'm not just saying things!) I even envision them looking alike, barring some details like the fancy clothes and eyepatch (though Allan does wear glasses). Part of my sadness at Heph getting stabbed was because it just made me think "noooo, my brainchild!" ^^;

Don't deny it! When you try killing flies, you also ask them to cooperate in their own demise!

(I know I've done that, anyway.)

I didn't realize how appropriate the Pure Imagination lyrics are. I picked the song because of a dance routine at my daughter's recital. It was done by high school kids, called Steampunk. And the creepy version of the song I linked was the version they used for the dance (which was awesome—the dancers were like malfunctioning robots).

I just listened to the song and it more or less tells you what the world you're in is, and the creepy overtone makes it really work. The singer is saying that the world is your imagination. Well, how would someone else know what my imagination is really like?

But if the knife was supposed to send someone to a place where they'd consider themselves "better off dead", the only way a destination created by Heph (or in his imagination) works is if he was somehow able to overcome the knife's power enough to allow diverting to an alternate location. (Either that, or this is a seriously evil place and we haven't encountered the evil yet). That's not to say Heph couldn't have diverted the location, just saying the location needs an explanation based on what we know of the knife.

Sigrlinn's right. Kell's rolls sucked but her decisions did not. The round you chose for the gold horn was a good choice. Sooner: you would have needed an 8 to slow all of the crow-bots down. And if you waited longer or rolled <6, you would've needed to dodge attacks, which would've been scary!

In case your wondering, the AWOOGA had every affected crow attack one other crow. Since I don't roll enemies, half of the crows on your side win their fights and fly away. The other half of the winners still want to eat you, but they need an additional round to catch up to you.

If there were any crows not engaged in battles, they would have continued to chase you without being slowed down.
