Bio:
If you’re looking for a mercenary, Roderick is your man. He’s not a man of means, culture, or skill. He’s a little on the evil side and not afraid to say it. He’s not the tallest, the strongest, or the fastest in any bunch. All in all, this makes for a rather unimpressive man, but Roderick is by no means unimpressive. Anyone who has calls him unimpressive hasn’t seen him lay into a cadre of assassins and come out unscathed, or stand alone against a cavalry charge and unhorse three men. He actually hurt himself pretty badly that time, but the point is he did it.
You see, Roderick is a man who does things. If you pay him money to do something, he’ll be damned if he lets pesky things like morality and the law get in the way of his job. He follows his own code of five simple tenets.
1. Only kill people who stand in your way. Innocents don’t need to suffer (unless you get paid to make them suffer).
2. Never steal from a self-made person (unless you’re paid to). They deserve your respect for dragging themselves out of the mud of poverty and into the slightly less gooey mud of actually having money.
3. Never turn on a client (even if you’re paid to). Mercenaries who betray their employers don’t find as much work as mercenaries who don’t. Former clients, on the other hand, are negotiable.
4. If your client doesn’t pay you, ignore the previous tenet. Also applies if your client tries to kill you.
5. Never agree to do anything unless you're prepared to die doing it.
