Friends,
I'm happy to announce that our Article Team has launched. The team members consist of:
Editors:
Ravana, myrddin173
Writers:
Benjamin Clayborne, Chilari, Codey Amprim, Devor, Dreamhand, Michael Sullivan, Nathan Lauffer and Phil the Drill
These writers will be regularly contributing articles to our homepage, and will be bring their own diverse talents and backgrounds to our readership. Thus far, two articles have been published:
Stay tuned for an article from Phil the Drill this weekend. If you would like to have our team's articles sent to your email box each week, sign up for our free weekly newsletter.
Chat Integration
After many requests, we have added real-time chat capability to our site. Members are able to initiate private chat sessions with one another, and can also create private group chats.
Public chat rooms can be created by moderators, who will choose the topic of the session. These public chat rooms will appear when moderators are hosting them, and will only be available three days a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
If you wish to make yourself unavailable to chat, simply turn off the chat bar. You can do that by clicking on the bar, and then selecting "Turn Off" from the drop-down menu.
Server Upgrades
Over the past two weeks we have upgraded and optimized our server to handle higher loads of traffic. Since we first obtained our new server in November, our traffic has actually doubled!
After this latest round of upgrades we will be able to accommodate more growth in the months ahead.
What's Next?
With the Article Team being in full swing, the next planned improvement to launch will be a "Best Posts" section, where the most helpful posts will be cataloged by topic. This effort will be carried out by the Mythic Archivists, under the direction of Sparkie.
Look for further details in the weeks ahead.
Final Thoughts
If you have questions about any of these developments, ask them in this thread.
Once again, thank you for being a part of Mythic Scribes. Being a part of this community has been an honor for me, and I'm looking forward to what the future holds in store.
