Anyone else published on Kindle?

I've personally never found any issues with the Meatgrinder, except with their straight-HTML output. The .mobi and .epubs that I download from them always seem fine.

I'll throw my vote in for the smashwords style guide. here's a link: Smashwords — Smashwords Style Guide — A book by Mark Coker

I'm using a korean version of microsoft word (i don't speak korean), and i was still able to use this style guide to (of course) publish on smashwords, but also to publish on amazon. I honestly don't know what could be simpler.

I think you are lucky then...I had several places where font sizes would change for no apparent reason.

Hi,

I've had no problem pubbing with either kindle or smashwords. The secret I think is dump the formatting and stick to simple. I use word 2000, very basic formatting and no symbols at all. The text files seem to be no hassle.

I felt that smashwords formatting was easier. The HTML thing on Kindle got me by surprise.
However, I found a program called Kindle Writer. Has anyone tried it?
