@Kell -- I was working off the assumption that Penni and Sigrlinn are still inside MiHi5, so I doubt they can hear Kell yet until they leave. And I'm not sure how they'll get out, either.

I'm curious, where is Aphrodite during all this?
Fair question.

To be honest, Aphrodite's whereabouts (and some other things) are somewhat determined by your actions and luck.

Bad Luck: didn't dodge Helios' grapple + didn't wake up in time to see the assassin.
Good Luck: defeated the enemy at 50% HP (both of you).
Good Choices: preventing the death of a tiny iMaiden + agreeing to be a pilot.

Honestly, I'm glad the mansion got destroyed. That was fun to write! As for Heph……… (to be continued)

Then it's my sent folder that's acting up, I guess. Suddenly I can't see sent messages like I could a few days ago.

Oh well. Up to you if you wait for Kell. If Kell decides to talk to Aphrodite, that may take a while. If she wants to heal in silence, I won't bother with multiple posts of awkward not-talking. I'll keep everything on the main thread, so you can decide how to move forward with the knife thing.

I have no idea if I misinterpreted Icarus' question or not... I guess it works in-character? They've all had a long night, after all. I'm sure Sig's starting to feel tired by now.

Aaaack, I was ninja'd like crazy! Should I edit anything before I post again, or relay my confusion in-character? ^^;

No need to edit. It was one of those things where we're all online ninja'ing each other.

I think the hearth magic conversation that Kell started is something you can work with.

CONTINUED:

Heph's death was gonna happen anyway, though since Kell kept her body she was in a position to actually defeat the murderer. (Or even prevent the death with an EXTREMELY LUCKY wake-up roll.) And you managed to figure out that the murder weapon…………

Oh. Wait. Is it too soon to tell you that you figured out the secret that leads to………… (to be continued)

Kell says, "That's where Demeter's input would be really useful. The Underworld is reportedly a pretty big place. There's the river Styx and the boatman Charon, the Elysian Fields, Hades' Palace, Cerberus, the waters of Lethe, Mnemosyne, and a bunch of other places I can't remember off the top of my head."

Not sure if this is just an in-character goof or not, but... Cerberus isn't a place. It's the name of the three-headed dog that guards the gates of Hades.

Yeah, it was a quasi-goof, I was thinking of Cerberus as being sort of a landmark (you have to admit, a 3-headed dog is pretty darn distinctive!) but you're right, Ireth. Cerberus is a creature more than a place.

Okay. And, just curious, since Phoebe is there does this mean she's figured out how to move Sigrlinn's body, or is someone carrying/supporting her?

Oh, right. Artemis and Aphrodite had to help her through the portal. But she's pretty sure there's nothing medically wrong with Sig's body. (The downside to fast-forwarding!)

In case you're wondering, the portal expanding so much you got sucked is because Ireth rolled a zero. Normally, I'd say no spell was cast, but that seemed boring to just have nothing happen, then you reroll.

I realize I've already rolled for Grace, but I have to wonder why I'm rolling differently to dodge dust than I did in the simulator to dodge smoke. Wouldn't it be Instinct as well?

The last button we pushed was Kell pushing yellow to talk, which is also Grace, so maybe the last button pressed dictates what we roll. I can tell you that Kell prefers Grace over Instinct - 4 dice vs. 1, I think.
