No need to roll. You're having 2 people fall slowly 10 feet. I'm thinking the roll for Ascension can be a number of "moves." So if you rolled a 12 you could have two people fly up 50 feet, then land safely onto whatever surface is there.

For weapon spells, let's use your ranged attack roll. Leto will end the game with +2 ranged, +1 magic. Kell will end up with +2 in both melee and magic. Melee for blades of ice (if they're swords--skates make her move quickly on water, ice or downhill on snow).

Unless either of your characters have more to discuss with Aphrodite, we can work our way to the Choose-Your-Destination bit. It won't end the chapter, but will determine how the chapter ends.

Options:
* Sardis / Artemis
* Hesperides / Hera

Sigrlinn will probably choose Saris, both because it was where she originally wanted to go and because of what Aphrodite asked about being given time to talk to Hera about things.

I'm gonna go find Dory tonight. If you're all set with Aphrodite, she will invite Kell to dine with Vin in a familiar part of the villa. Vivi would be there as well.

THat's what's not clear to me, though. Is Aphrodite going to correspond with Hera while Kell and Sigrlinn are in Sardis, or are Kell and Sigrlinn going to have to talk Hera into having the conversation with Aphrodite about Kell-Pi?

You'd have to see Hera first, but there isn't a better/worse order. It sounds like your characters feel Sardis is more urgent, so go with that.

Sorry, Ireth, the point to having Kell refer to your character as Leto was to not steal your thunder in telling about the new name. If she'd called her Sigrlinn, Vin and Vivian wouldn't have known who she meant, which meant Kell would have felt obliged to to explain something she strongly felt wasn't her story to tell.

We were out all day today--no plan. My six-year-old remembered a place we took her a few years ago when we asked the girls to think of a place to go. We had fun, and even rented a boat to row when we couldn't get on the sailing tour. I forgot how much I like rowing!

So much fun at the zoo yesterday! Got rained on, but it was actually quite pleasant with how warm the day was. I think the seals were my favorite part. Also bats. Bats are adorable. And the wolves. And the big, BIG horses. Percherons and Clydesdales. <3

I saw some Greek Mythology-themed art. These drawings are of Artemis and of Artemis with her nymphs. I don't know who the artist is, but she's talented!

The one with the nymphs is supposed to be a hunt. Do they use magic or just rip a stag apart like it's made of paper? I'd stay the hell out of their way!

My sister-in-law is visiting from Hong Kong for a couple weeks, starting on the 12th. If I see player posts, I'll respond when I can, but the game might slow to a crawl during the visit.

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to figure out what that flooded Underground is about or the best way to respond. I know nymphs have an advantage in the water, but I'm not sure about holding their breath for an hour.

It's impossible to hold your breath for that long.

A nymph has a minimal advantage over others. The amazon has the best lung capacity, but only an Iron Maiden (who doesn't need to breathe air) could make the swim ahead of you…

…unless…

I'm not sure what's going on, but ever since the last upgrade to Tapatalk, notifications about updates to any of the threads I subscribe to on this site have become very intermittent. Those notifications are what get me out here posting, so that's why I've not been around that much. I will report this issue to them.

No big deal. I was working on (yet another) resume today, so it was good not having a distraction.

Technically, Ascension and Ride of the Valkyrie both use wind to boost speed. RotV is tied to the mount, while Ascension can be split among individuals.

So, assuming you can make air bubbles with one of those combos (and I think at this point you should assume you can; otherwise, I put you in an impossible situation), the other combo would also work, but differently.
