1 goodberry to Dalla; 4 to Bressel. That leaves us with 48 goodberries.

If Roderick's not playing, I assume his character will wander off. We can patch his wounds, but I'd prefer not to do silly things that eat into the supply of people still playing. Nissa will ask him to remove the ring while she cleans his wounds. In game reason: from her POV, he's another "knight behind the table," so the ring should go to one more likely to have a use for it. Out of game reason: I don't want another character walking out of the game with a magic item.

I agree, I don't think Roderick is coming back.
Other then trying to kill the lizard on his back, I have pretty much ignored him in the posts.
I think it best to just leave his character sitting there in the snow.

HEY, wait a minute... can we kinda get him into NPC mode to kill the lizard, then he just wanders out of the game?

I've got Nissa flying up to find the runaway now for a bird's-eye-view if needed, as I'm not sure how far he'd have run by the time Mauve can speak. If Nissa bandaged the men up before flying, the bird's-eye might be necessary.

I'm not concerned about order of operations so much, but I'll wait for a GM post before rolling an attempted attack since I'm sure the lizard's gained some significant ground.

Can Rod run that fast? Are we all going to run after a lizard and spread the group out again, even more?

Personally, and Bressel's opinion, I think we should let the lizard escape, regroup and decide the course of action from there, as a whole, not a portion of a group.

You guys could send Rod off to find the lizard if you want.

I've updated the side trek, and sent you a PM SeverinR. I'll wait until this evening on the main thread to see if Ankari posts, and if not then we'll either assume he followed everyone out or assume he stayed below (the latter seeming less likely).

Ankari wanted to parley, so I doubt he would stay, after the battle took this turn.
(Yes, it was Aliron that started the fight.:timebomb:)

The funny part is that (at the moment) only Alin knows Ankari didn't start the fight. Baldy last heard of a plan to draw them out, and that Alin thought it best to keep silent.

I suppose from the characters' perspective, it wouldn't make sense to say, "Hey, you, guy who got attacked and just took it like a chump… go find and kill a runaway lizard by yourself. We won't wait for your return, so good luck out there."

(That said, Nissa still took back the ring.)

Also, @Feo, in case you're back, no offense intended. I'm thinking of what characters would think of a fighter who gets hit and does nothing. That said, if you were off the site and came back to keep playing, I wouldn't have my characters comment, since it's a case of how real life affected your character.

Does anyone has a clear idea of how much time passed since the lizard ran? (making off-game question first before using it in-game to avoid mess)

Though it makes all the sense to put Roderick tracking the lizard in-game it really doesn't. If the escape is recent enough Mauve would give it a try, because she thinks she's everything but a wizard. Sorry!

I still got to read the main thread, I'm not following it closely atm. I only got a glimpse of something about a dark elf, oh my!

SP's in-game post seemed to imply it's a very bad idea to chase. And yeah, I think it only makes sense out-of-game to send Rod. In game, he's the last person you'd send because characters would have reason to believe the lizard would slap him silly and he'd just stand there getting slapped.

It has been a couple of minutes at least, I'd say, with the goodberry handing out and the cleaning of wounds. It's not that you've seen any threat against you if you go after him, it's just that the lizard is small, and the hills are covered in trees and rocks and littered with small holes (or maybe larger holes). A little creature like that could be almost anywhere. You guys could probably track him but it's going to take some time.

Okay, I edited my post since the timeline is clarified. Basically, I think Nissa agrees the lizard should've been killed. (I almost had her ask Dalla to shoot it, but thought Nissa would have had more focus on Burnbright at that point.) But I also see her as not wanting to waste time chasing it down, knowing that a larger force exists and half the party is near. With Burnbright visibly praying to Brynhild, I think it makes the most sense for Nissa to let the "big people" discuss, and as long as the group doesn't get divided again, she's likely to go along with either decision: tracking the lizard or letting it go.

There is no time to waste. Each second the lizard may be farther away. Mauve would like to stay and discuss, but she feels she can't, and she hopes they'd listen her for once. All her other slips bore nice fruits, didn't they? The dice at least are saying she should track.

If it's of any consolation she's among the smaller members of the group. Petite and slim. You'd be surprised on how many tiny places someone small as her can squeeze through. Experience talking heh.

Group in order of best tracker:
Batos-tracks by smell
Ankari trained tracker, by tracks (ranger)
Any elf; secondary skills
lastly humans.

Bressel doesn't tell anyone what to do, so he won't object. But he will recommend getting the group together as soon as prayers are done.

Yeah, by the time Burnbright prays and all that it has been a lot more than two minutes. But I was leaving the timing a bit fluid because if Mauve, for example, decided to go after it, she could set out while some of that was going on. Probably no sooner than a couple of minutes after the lizard ran off, though.

Hmmm.... ive realized several things:

1) if we end up in a scene where Batos saves Dalla's life, i will end up laughing uncontrollably.

2) Keitsumah's light spell may come in verrrrry handy soon enough.

Yeah, Mauve wouldn't linger there doing nothing, I don't have control on which order people post. :)

She arrived, taking the bandages off her pouch, asked her question and was already tracking and getting on her way as she offered her last words.

Yes. As long as it doesn't become too confusing, I try to stay flexible with timelines. It's the nature of a play-by-post forum game, where people can't all be online together posting at the same time.
