Map up. I cropped it a bit hoping it would show larger. No luck. I guess I made the original scale too small to fit the larger image in.

9 squares to nearest enemy, so no attack roll for Baldy.

I'm happy Nissa's check worked out. Now I'll know if Gisla lives. Nissa healed in not one, but two MSRPGs.

(And didn't wear clothes in either. What's with that valkyrie?)

umm... does Keit have to do a DEX check since she cast the spell? just checking.

No, she does not where she is now, though if she tries to move forward into the area she will.

Also, the spell lasts quite a while, so those tendrils will be grabbing at things for a couple of minutes of game time.

Okay, note to self -- don't let my elves set foot on the ground unless I'm REALLY sure they'll pass their DEX checks! XD Llucheden got really lucky with that natural 20, I can't count on it happening again!

EDIT -- if the fishies are trapped by the roots/vines, and our characters attack them, is there any need to roll for an attack as well as damage? Or will just damage do? (I seem to recall a similar question rising earlier in the game about pinned-down enemies, so I just wanted to double-check.)

Pin is -4 AC, according to the link in the grapple thread, and I believe stun is also -4 AC. I think you're right to compare the entangle to a pin, though I'm not sure if the AC penalty is -4 or if it's different for entangle.

I lack DEX primes as well, so I'm glad flying creatures get a free pass. I prefer Nissa uses her luck on that WIS check, which she probably needs to bandage entangled Gisla.

Yeah, I wasn't about to have Liadan try any healing until the fishy threat was neutralized. Unfortunately her archery seems to be suffering. :/

You still have to roll the attack. Entangle basically prevents movement (or slows it if you make a save). It doesn't immobilize the whole creature (though it might if they're laying down). Affected creatures can still attack, but only against enemies right next to them since they can't move to get to other targets.

Good to know. Thanks!

Given what Steerpike just typed, next turn may be a fairly safe time to heal (depending how DEX checks go). Even if the fish are jumping, Liadan is likely safe enough, as Nissa needs to get swatted out of the way first.

My hope for her is that, with Cadell's horse and charging barbarians closing in, a healer, a tiny nudist and a dying woman will be seen as low-priority targets.

So, Mauve was spared from the spell! That's great, isn't it?

Mauve: NO, I DO WHATEVER I WANT! *jumps in the middle of the spell*

Oh… so is Nissa able to find a way to patch up Gisla's wound? I thought the spell had a short duration, so my thought was that Nissa would wait for the grabbiness to stop. Since that won't happen for a very long time, and Nissa's so small, can she land on Gisla or flutter above while patching the wounds?

It does help that Mauve's targeting Gisla's/Nissa's opponent!

Baldhart will skirt the edge of the Grabby Zone, and become a Grabby Zone herself to those who leap out at her.
