Question: assuming the gnolls do not show up for the meeting proposed by Baldhart, are there any objections to moving ahead into the morning, or are there other actions you guys want to take while it is still dark outside?

If I don't see Baldhart, assume I go to sleep in the forest.

I don't object.

There is one thing I'd like to RP—something Nissa has to say, and since Badly will have her MP back by dawn Nissa would say it as soon as it's obvious no one will be at the meeting place. (Cadell told Baldy the gnolls would return at dawn, and even without that info, it's little risk to bring Nissa out since most of the MP replenishing time happens on the boat.)

If you want, I can play by PM for this part. There isn't much back-and-forth needed here, and I picture Gisla and Grim being on the boat with Baldy's clothes while the other PCs are on a different boat. Poor Baldy's all alone!

Mauve would keep stalking Ankari. If the boat is gone and nothing happens, only then she'll bother him.

Nightmares and pillow talk is all I have in mind for Cadell and Liadan. Buuut it's plot- and character-important pillow talk.

Actions I hope to take BEFORE gnolls or other scary things come to town:

1) Have Nissa say her peice to Gisla. No PCs will hear the conversation, including Baldhart, but I'm fine with keeping it in the main thread just so other players see why it's important this conversation happens—and only Nissa would be able to say it.

2) This doesn't necessarily need to be RP'd, but I'd like Baldhart (and Bressel) to get their 5 AC armor. Any chance the smith and/or his apprentice can get to work? In her talk with Gisla, Nissa's clarifying her role as Baldy's protector, so I'm thinking that might help.

3) Take a walk around the outskirts to see if Mauve or Ankari returned with a message, depending on how #1 goes.

EDIT - Just to clarify, when Nissa asks Grim to row back, it's just so we're not stuck in one place while she and Gisla talk. Of course they're on the same boat, since Gisla can't row herself.

Unless she rows in circles, zing! /being an insensitive ********.

I assume Baldy is alone and the rest are on one boat. There's just enough room. (5 counting Batos)

Aliron and Bressel are on the oil-free boat. [Aliron loves the trapped boat, but doesn't trust anyone enough to stand under the potential oil rain.
1. Bressel's armor didn't need modified, so he is already wearing his. (male average warrior size has its benefits)

2. We need to plan how to handle the meeting when it does happen. (so we need to get the information on why the gnoll's didn't show.
a. maybe we should plan an ambush somewhere along the way? Or will the boat meeting be planned again? Aliron will hide the necklace on board the good boat if that is the case, and of course we'll guard it as if Burnbright was on board.
3. We still need to keep the outlaws in the outlands, and the townspeople should never meet with them.
4. If the meeting doesn't happen soon, Aliron will have to return to update Masama.

Hm... Baldhart and Aliron are going to look for the two in the forest, I think I'll just keep Mauve sleeping then. In any case it would make no sense to have her waking up upon the boats' arrival, just... "because".

You'll find something that looks like a pile of clothes that breathes.

Why every time she decides to sleep someone wakes her up? D:

GM call! SP, did Baldy find Mauve?

(Wait… INT and WIS aren't primes. I can't find sh*t. Ahhhh… but neither is DEX. I… have a plan!)

Oh, darn, my DEX check failed. I must've tripped over a small lady. Oh! I know her…!

Hey, they could be small gnoll ladies.

Anyway, since Ankari didn't kick Mauve out we can assume she's sleeping somewhere near him. Where exactly is a mystery, not far inside the forest from what I've understood. Mauve is simply sleeping, I believe he didn't intend to keep a watch either. If they're not far in the forest Baldhart would eventually find them.

@Severin: Cadell is still at the inn. Liadan is the one talking to Baldhart by herself.

oops. read it quickly, skipped Liadan's title.
Can't change it now.
I don't think it was a hidden conversation.

But Aliron might have seen someone move in the woods, which might get the group head in the right direction. It would be Ankari unless Mauve is snoring. Then I could do a listen.

You can never know if you snore unless someone tells you. Since I write in first person, I wouldn't know if Mauve snores. :x
