When calculating the dwarf-gold to standard-gold conversion, what do I do when I get decimals? Are they supposed to be rounded up or down to the nearest whole number, or counted as silver coins (since 1 sp = 0.1 gp)?

If you're converting only to split them don't bother—in theory we can't magically turn dwarven coins into gold coins anyway. Since the exchange rate varies, it's not a good idea to convert them to split. Otherwise, yes, they would be counted as silver coins.

Well, whether or not I actually do split them depends on whether Grim actually accepts Cadell's offer. Cadell's not going to force his money on someone who politely turns him down.

Might just give Grim all standard ones and keep the dwarven gold... it's about even anyway. Cadell's at 114 gp (not regarding the dwarf gold, or any silver and copper), and the dwarf gold he gained amounts to 102(.7) gp, which isn't all that much less than he had before we found the chest. So Cadell can give him 108 standard gold and call it good. We can assume the dwarf gold, being heavier, settled to the bottom of Cadell's coin pouch and stayed out of his hand.

Basically playing this as
Mauve is a friend with issues, but Aliron followed as much to ensure Branwen was safe as to ensure Mauve was alright too.

Played out perfectly to allow the mysterious elf to appear out of no where, and be in the right place to kill if Masama was hostile.
I didn't have a chance to post for previous action, but I think this was better anyway.

I should make a change though.

I know we didn't kill anything during this last encounter, but I think there should be good experience since we nailed so many ability checks to out smart 36 enemies. Even more for Mauve and a little more for Baldhart since they struck out alone and survived.

Baldy in stealth mode… who'da thunk it?

Here's what I sent Steerpike.
Plan2.png

Baldy followed the blue—behind buildings since she considered whether rooftops were in condition to support her weight. Father Harald was dead, so she went back to the cliffside to avoid that gnoll circled in red. She took the long way around Srilkind so in case hoofbeats drew attention, the sound would trail to the east.

Once far from enemy territory, all seemed safe until Baldy and Nissa broke out into an argument that, had it escalated escalated into a brawl, would've caused the horse to overturn killing all on board. Just as things seemed to calm down, a grinning werewolf piggy-back-riding a bear emerged from the brush. Before Baldhart was able to give him the middle finger, he was gone!

Everyone who puts those magic slippers seems tempted to walk on the roofs! xD
Using the magic slippers to put a gnoll's corpse in a tree was also tempting, but having not found a survivor made conflict easily avoidable. Baldhart wasn't about to be stupid around enemies that can follow a scent.

Note for Ponder, be careful about adding NPCs into the story that aren't GM-sanctioned. You may want to get permission from Steerpike before elaborating on this mysterious scarred fellow.

Thats why Bressel just gave the room a good look, to find interesting people. It can be played off, a simple fisherman or tradesman that had his hood up. But as in real life we can't add people we would like to see.
(not a good mis-type, when typing add, I missed it by one letter and changed the whole meaning, no it wasn't Aff, otherside. Can't ass people...)

Yeah. If you want, I can edit that. (No time limit for me.) If not edited, the hooded scar-face will likely be ignored as he doesn't exist unless SP says he does.

It may seem I was doing that with Gisla, but in fact, Baldy started asking about shops, temples, and whether there happened to be any followers of Brynhild, her Goddess, in the area. That was part of my play-by-PM portion of the game. Once I had a place to go, I thought I'd play on the thread so players can read the interaction between Baldy and Gisla. Based on Ireth's and Niha's posts, this helped other players figure out how overly enthusiastic Baldy is about meeting the tavern's owner—even though Cadell seems understanding while Mauve seems annoyed. (Both reactions I'd expect from those characters.)

Hmm. I still want Cadell to meet Gisla, but he seems preoccupied with looking for Joffur at the moment. Maybe later, when he has to buy a room for two. :3

@LS
Mauve hadn't the opportunity to grasp what is going on, she's just pissed off for being left with what she believes to be a huge problem in her hands. She only wanted to bath and eat and sleep in peace. How inconsiderate of Baldhart, tsc tsc!

@Something
The same can be said of Mauve's creepy vision when they were in the boats, it wasn't something I just came up with.

You may also want to edit the "enchanted" part off your post. Given how these people are scared to death of magic not only they will not have anything enchanted but they may start the preparations for a nice barbecue. It's not a wise move.

@Ireth
Yes, look for Joffur. Trust no one! NO ONE! *turns off Mauve mode*

@Nihal, I meant you could write Mauve as knowing Baldhart's energy is all over the place because you have that info that Mauve doesn't, so yes, it looks like she's being blown off like 'ok-your plan-whatever-go away' in Mauve's eyes.

@Something, yeah… the enchanted weapons inquiry had me like 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!'
