Where Can I find...

I have searched and searched for a program that will make a timeline that will show multiple histories in the same timeline. I have multiple storylines/histories that I have to keep track of.

I need one that looks like this:



The only one that I have found is at Preceden.com (where I got the picture from) but its web based and public unless I pay for a premium membership.

I really want something that I can keep on my computer. Does anyone know where I can find something like that or a tutorial that will show me how to make one with excel or *shudder* power point?

My last resort will be to make it in html.

yWriter has something like that - and best of all, it's free ...

Alternatively, Excel can be used for stuff like this, if your Kung fu is strong enough ...

Check this piece of software out. It has a free version and a payone. It doesn't display like that picture but it has a timeline display for multiple threads in a story so you can see how all the events line up. Storybook - No. 1 Open Source Novel Writing Software
