I thought something had been posted about that, but I guess not. We felt the idea of having elementals as a playable race kind of took away the "specialness" of clockworks and slimes. However, making a class that has elemental leanings ("frost weaver," "druid," "fire pirate," whatever) seems like a good idea. So taking an already existing race that we have and making their class have an elemental ability we thought would give the player the ability to still have elemental abilities, but not creating a new race. Plus, we have elementals as monsters in the game and they are non-intelligent summons of wizards and such.
