Place name toponymy?

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of constructing some cultures for my world and am struggling as to how to approach the issue of toponymy. Can anyone point me in the direction of guides or resources, or would you be kind enough to share your tips?

Not sure that's the word that's wanted here. Do you mean you are struggling with how to name places so as to make them appear linguistically related? If so, that's been talked about on several threads here.
