Dear friends,

Every year Writer's Digest releases a list of the 101 Best Websites for Writers.

There is a Genres/Niches category, with a section for Fantasy/Science Fiction writing sites. You can help Mythic Scribes to make this list.

Here's how:

  • Send an email to: [email protected]
  • Write "101 Best Websites" as the subject
  • In the body of the message, please write a short message asking Writer's Digest to consider Mythic Scribes for the Genres/Niches category.
  • In this message, briefly explain what you like about Mythic Scribes (articles, forums, friendly community, etc.)
  • Also, be sure to mention our domain name, which is "mythicscribes.com"
Please take a moment to nominate us now, as the Jan. 1 deadline is rapidly approaching.

The more nominations that we receive, the more likely we are to be considered. Making the list would be a huge milestone for our community.

Thank you in advance!
Tony

P.S. If you nominate us, please let us know in this thread.

I have sent the email nominating Mythic Scribes =)

This is a great opportunity, it would be wonderful to be part of that Writer's Digest awards. When are they going to announce the final list of 101 Best Websites for Writers?

We can do it!!

Thank you Sheila!

The final list won't be revealed until June. I think that we have a good chance of making it. :)

My nomination:

"Mythic Scribes"
mythicscribes.com

Mythic Scribes is my favorite website because it's given me the chance to meet other creative writers who just want to be read. Some have already been published, others are beginners, and others are still finding their muse and playing RPGs in the forum in the meantime. In addition to being a welcoming and helpful place for aspiring writers, the site is devoid of that "Internet nastiness," much to the founder's credit.

Tony, a.k.a. Black Dragon, keeps his site friendly and clean, and has approached members (myself included) that had earned his trust as being among those who share that interest. I'm happy to be a small part of a site like this, and the members keep me coming back for more fun, more learning, more interesting stories, and opportunities to share some of my work.

Check out mythicscribes.com and see our small-but-growing community for yourself.

Sent,

It is an odd thing to find an internet forum with a community that not only accepts new members and their visions and ideas, but also lends a helping hand to execute those ideas into a realistic goal. Mythic Scribes has been an invaluable source of information and companionship in the turbulent waters of self-gratification and negativity that pervades common forums today. As an oasis of respect, intellectualism, and free-thinking, Mythicscribes.com is the first bookmark I have on my browser.
