Thanks, I'll pass on the compliment I saw it this morning for the first time and I immediately had a Yes! feeling. It's very atmospheric.

I'm curious, did you have any influence on picking the artist and/or motif, or was that handled by the publisher?

The artist, Jos Weijmer, is the publisher. He doesn't do all the covers himself, he employs several freelance illustrators. But his style fits my books, that's why he does these himself. I gave him a choice of three scenes from the book and he chose this one.

I like his style, so I commissioned him to do the covers for my three upcoming Shardheld books as well. That way I have all my books in the same style, like both my Revenaunt ones. Like this:
