Malik that sounds really cool, gotta love a bit of fluff when it comes to magical objects in fantasy, they're always fun to play with. Does he find out who crafted the shield?
And thank you Aurora, any posts on here about your world yet? :)
I love the mystery behind it (in the context of the story) - have you explored the weapon's history?
No no I don't think that would bode well for us Nomadica haha and thanks :)
Are there any elements or aspects of your world building that you've included as a bit of an easter egg or any that are a guilty pleasure?
I know it can be really tempting to include things you think others might find overdone or silly but they can be really fun too! As always, it's the way...
As with another post you've made here, it's all just a bit vague. It has the potential to be interesting but I must agree with Nomadica, this just reads as a setting to me right now.
Try and expand upon what you already have. What does the Triverse mean for the characters you want to explore...

The Diamond Ordinance is the name given to a collection of floating temples inhabited by the Gods of the world I'm currently building (Deija).
The temples are often pyramidal in shape but they actually cycle through various structures over time (or they did in the past). The temples...
I feel like you're relating this event too closely to a car crash on Earth. An asteroid wouldn't stop the ship in its tracks like an obstacle would a car. And while it's likely that any passengers that were free-standing during this event would go flying, the resulting fractures would be the...
I find the focus on the 'grip' power of the passengers really jarring and unnecessary. In a ship/comet collision scenario that really isn't going to play a role in the survival rate of passengers.
I agree with Vaporo completely, you need to do a lot more research on the subject. Even with my...
I like to hand draw them first so I can easily make edits and changes. If you're wanting something with a little more polish but don't feel like you have the photoshop skills (the gods know I haven't), you could give inkarnate a try; it's a handy site for fantasy mapbuilding and it's free! :)
