When out on the hunt, how will we know if we are anywhere near the prey, or if we succeed in killing it?
Also, is this more about actually catching the prey, or about being a badass storyteller? Either way I'm looking forward to this. :cool2:
Lazarus shakes his head.
"Perhaps it was or wasn't the wine. We need to speak with the remaining witnesses."
Lazaurs sends out instructions for any surviving servants to be summoned for questioning.
Lazarus shakes his head.
"If my Duchess has any information regarding Sebeschar, she has not shared it with me."
Lazarus removes a dagger from his belt pouch, and begins slicing an apple.
"Clearly a poisoning has occurred, and the order came from someone of influence and means. The true...
Lazarus stands to address the council.
"There is no more time for this silliness. The time of trial will be here imminently. Mystical portents have been seen. Just recently a fabulous beast has been spotted in the mountains. It is a sign of what is coming."
"We need a leader, and need one...
A messenger enters the chambers and whispers a message to Lazarus. The Baron nods his head, and then stands before the assembly.
"Word has just reached me of a deed most foul. Three reigning barons and baronesses, along with their families and attendants, were poisoned last night. They were...
Wisdom James approaches Kat, and greets her with a flourish of his cane.
"For you, dear Baroness." From within his cape he produces a bouquet of pink lilies.
Lazarus, once again in possession of the scroll, rises before the assembly.
"Those who were meant to read this prophecy have done so. In the wrong hands, this document could do harm."
He lifts a nearby candle, and sets the scroll ablaze.
"The first sign will be coming soon. Watch, wait...
Baron Lazarus has announced the discovery of a miraculous pool of water in his territory. Locals have had visions of otherworldly visitors at the site of the pool, while farmers have claimed to see "chariots of fire" landing nearby. Many miracles have been reported.
Lazarus is putting...
Wisdom James, the nephew and heir of Baron Lazarus, makes his entrance into the ballroom.
He is dressed in flamboyant purple garments with a matching wide-brim hat. Layers of gold chains cascade across his neckline, and dark tinted spectacles hide his eyes. As he struts through the crowd he...
Lazarus, again in possession of the scroll, holds it close to his chest.
"Let us see. Only one person at a time can read the scroll. Clearly Safrax possesses the wisdom to discern the message hidden within. But for some, the message may be indecipherable. For others, it may drive them mad...
Lazarus rises again to address the gathering, this time raising the black hood of his habit.
"Clearly the Emperor saw what lies in store for us. He saw the coming crisis. He saw our impending fate."
He walks to the front table, and bows his head in a moment of prayer.
"So much loss...
"Gentleman and ladies, may I have your ear." He waves a hand, commanding the room's attention.
"I arrived at this council nearly two days ago, and yet nothing has been accomplished during this time. Other than petty gossip, little of interest has been said. And yet we have such pressing...
Lazarus enters the room, clothed in his traditional black habit. He takes a seat near Alec, and signals a servant for a flask of wine.
"Go ahead," he says. "Make your case. What is so important for us to discuss that this council needs to continue?"
Lazarus sits back and grins, exposing a...
