This is the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread:

    I Am Seeking Critique Partners!

What a coincidence -- I just logged in today to look for a critique partner. I don't have professional experience with editing, but I do have a B.A. in English, with a minor in creative writing. While in school, I was able to take four work-shop style classes where all the students read each...

    Romance And Gender.

One of my favorite writing resources is Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi's Emotion Thesaurus. They have an online supplement about the different ways men and women tend to express "cardinal emotions," and it includes an entry on love. You might find that helpful.

    Fantasy Names

For characters, I like to use names that give a sense of the culture I'm trying to evoke. If I'm writing something similar to Medieval Europe, this is my favorite resource: Medieval Names Archive For other cultures, I used Google and baby name books to research name conventions and meanings...

    Putting the NaNo Pants On....

I usually write without an outline, but last year for NaNo I filled about eight pages in a notebook with character sketches, world-building notes, and a 3-page bullet-point outline. It was just enough to keep me moving forward when I got stuck. Maybe something like that would work for you...

Robin Hood - British TV series

Oops, sorry. I thought it was sufficiently vague. This is probably a stupid question, but how do I edit posts? Edit: an edit post button appeared on this post, but not the other one

Robin Hood - British TV series

I liked it for the most part, particularly the first two seasons. I had a hard time getting into the third season, and actually just finished watching it a few weeks ago. All my favorite characters died  Guy was my favorite part of the series, even after what happened with Marian. I...

Who would read you a story?

Richard Armitage. I keep re-watching the Hobbit trailer just to hear him speak.

    The Third Batman Movie

Dark Knight Rises was actually my favorite of Nolan's Batman films. Granted there were several plot holes (hilariously made fun of in HISHE's video). I liked the way it ended, with Alfred's dream coming true and Blake in the Batcave (but then, I'm a hopeless romantic). From what I've been...

How did you get into writing?

Add me to the list of daydreamers. I've been coming up with stories since before I could write (my mom says I used to dictate narratives to her). My serious writing started about six years ago with some terrible, unfinished novels and fan-fiction.

How Serious Are You About Writing?

Somewhere between 5 and 6. I don't write as consistently as I should, but I have been trying to get published. So far, all my stories have been rejected, but I have a couple more sent out that I'm waiting to hear back on.

    Sad songs

I love James Galway! Especially his Enchanted Forest album and when he plays popular songs, like My Heart Will Go On and Hero.

What Kind of Writer are You?

Other than the fact that I dislike reading Faulkner, I have to agree with the assessment. However, I don't dream about awards every night.

    Sad songs

I've been playing the soundtrack for Les Miserables a lot lately. Eponine's songs in particular always make me sad, but I keep listening to them. I think my family is getting tired of hearing me sing On My Own.
