Also, I realize this is rather belated, but it's probably relevant. I notice a lot of characters refer to Cadell as "the ancient knight", and I have to wonder just how they can tell. While he is in fact quite old, I don't recall him ever revealing his age to anyone outside of the "Around the Fire" thread, and looks-wise he's only about 25, barely older than Baldhart. Just for the record.

I noticed this one too, but don't worry, he got a new nickname now: Stumpy.

Baldy and Stumpy will have to discuss their weird dreams later. Apparently, the dwarves have something immmm-POOOOR-taaaant to tell us. Look at me. I'm a dwarf. Blah, blah, and a bunch of us died! Everybody feel sorry for me!

Cadell resents the nickname Stumpy. He's quite self-conscious about his missing hand, if it wasn't already clear. ^^; And he also wonders how to tell the story to the dwarves without going into epic expository infodump mode about things we've already been told, and how much exactly is safe to reveal to them at all.

Haha, nice! XDDD

Though, I suppose I could always just cheat and go "Cadell summarized all that had befallen them, from their time aboard the Bladnir to what had happened shortly before the battle with the wargs and goblins." ^^

Don't worry, Mauve will only call him "stumpy" in her thoughts. >D

Awww, please, tell the story. Plotting Mauve wants to know and I can't share my knowledge with the poor dumb mage. You don't need to link the topic, as you said you could summarize everything. With the cool details and secrets, yes, please.

Why do I always have to work when there are these bursts of Dragon's Egg activity? Forget the knife, I'm cursed.

I had a dream last night that prominently featured valkyries, one of whom may have been Nissa. I wish I could remember more of it, it seems like there's a story buried in there somewhere.

Careful. She might try to get you to take unnecessary risks you she can make you into a valkyrie. If she does, she'll still do whatever she can to keep you alive. She's very conflicted about this sort of thing.

PS- I'm jealous.

I might be offline for most of the weekend. Nihal, if you're around to post, Baldhart invited Mauve to "do the talking." Feel free to have Mauve, Bren and Baldhart chowing down on bread and wine if you want to.
