That's what I thought too. There's literally no time he could have gathered fresh veggies in after joining up with the company in the place with the drows, so.. *shrug*

Yeah that's probably the best answer to it because it is unlikely for there to be a plausible answer for why he would have vegetables in the winter.

There are some characters who are skilled at gathering—not vegetables necessarily, but edible plants such as berries. (Class skill for rangers, druids and barbarians.)

I just had a thought how are going to eat the stew because I don't remember seeing any bowls or spoons or fork or even knifes in the original supply list or is it just assumed that we would have these at game start?

Maybe we found bowls at the farmhouse. I suppose we could be stuck using metal pots, tea kettles, and having to do without spoons--just salvaging what we can.

I'll try to get a post in later. Got a real-life deadline to deal with first.

I meant in general because I wouldn't think a Paladin would eat with out utensils and also that your group would traveling with out them either because I looked back to the equipment list and it didn't say anything about any supplies needed to eat like bowls plates or utensils. So I just wondered about it.

Well I was thinking that wouldn't the farm have a set of silverware and bowls, and they probably wouldn't have burned so there should be enough for everyone.

Oh, you can have Zoran find the bowls Baldhart missed if you want to.

More serious progress question: do we move the party then say we go as far as possible, daylight permitting?

---or, stay put and study items? (Decipher book, study knife.)

This could be an in-game conversation if you prefer.

Is there a limit to how often you can roll to see if you can figure something out like me rolling to remember if/what I remember about the knife.

Has anyone looked at Getting to Know You thread since I posted profile

and does anyone know when the feline overlord shall return?

Since he didn't make the reason public, I won't. It might be a while. I'd say move the game forward and reroll when it makes sense to.

Fortunately, Nissa can ride Batos, making her able to study while we move since she doesn't need to watch where she's going.

And she didn't roll a 1 for that. (I can't believe Zoran and Nissa both rolled natural 1s. This knife really is evil!)

I think we should at least wait for an update from Steerpike regarding Liadan's WIS check for reading the book before we move forward too much. Anyone agree/disagree?

I'm not sure how long he'll be gone. We could always work out traveling to the caravan as sort of a readied action—something to put us further west when he gets back.

What it comes down to is this: whatever we do involving rolls, we need SP.

I think we can take care of lots of business now. Example: Zoran's salvaging pans, spoons, etc. In that hour, Baldhart (and Keit and Bressel) can look for berries.

((Baldhart the Berrypicker!))

Liadan's book study went well, but why stop here when Nissa's knife study (rolled 18) might pay off during transit. Someone (not Nissa) could look for tracks as we travel, making it possible to find that caravan. That someone won't be Baldhart.

((NOT Baldhart the Caravanfinder.))

I was wondering you all seemed to have been a different class at the beginning of the story. Are you duel-classing or did you give up on one class and choose another? Also if your character has had two classes can you use both of the effects of each individual class for example if I was to ever become a ranger would both my holy aura and the Delay/Neutralize Poison effects still both work which means I would be invulnerable to diseases and have higher chance of being cured of poison?

LS and I are dual-classing. Cadell still has some Knight abilities, like Inspire and his various horsemanship skills, as well as Bard abilities like Legend Lore and Decipher Script. His Knight abilities will no longer level up when he does, to my knowledge, but his Bard abilities will since that's now his primary class.

In-game, Cadell no longer holds the title of knight since the queen of his former homeland stripped him of it and exiled him for a perceived slight against her, but he still pretty much acts like one. He even has a squire now, which he didn't when he was actually called Sir Cadell. XD Funny how that worked out.

Was just going to suggest moving on, didn't realize SP hadn't posted for a while.
Had a pm into him, should have noticed he didn't respond.

Since returning from Arizona, I feel like I am lost even though not much happened while I was gone. SO I am hoping once we get moving again I can get connected again.
(Might be just the reason I went, I kind of feel that way in real life too.)

Dual classing:
Aliron is considering dual class after next level. Thief doesn't get much benefits after 5th level. I think his progression also slows down. Everyone starts to catch up.

Other then age and weight, drastic variables 120-160 for a 6'3" person, extremely thin(Bean pole) to just thin. BMI chart shows 6'3 158-176 as small framed, 181-207 as large framed-good weight.
Age is not as big a deal, 19 would have less worldly exp then a 25 yr old, but the whole range in the era would be a trained adult warrior.

If anyone's up for a traveling post, that's fine. I think when he's back we can compile a list of potentially successful rolls. That would be Nissa's WIS check (during travel, which hasn't actually been posted in-game but was rolled) and the decipher checks from Alin and Liadan. I don't think it hurts to have as many minds as possible on the book or knife, though only Nissa can study the knife on wolf-back.

I imagine Masama will have some study time when we get to a place to camp (though that might be after SP's return, as we don't know if we'll end up finding the caravan on our ride out).

Bressel could do a berry search, How do I roll it?

I will probably look while we move forawrd, since you probably checked the current area.
