Unless he knows for sure the +'s are, probably should say +1 (level)+1(str) and +1 (str) to damage. (Just guessing that these are the pluses.)

Heck, I have to figure up Aliron's at the start of every battle. (surely, I didn't them right.) Bressel's are easy.

It's base-to-hit, not level. For STR/CON/CHA classes (except fighter), base-to-hit is 1 point below your level. So, yeah, +1 for a level 2 paladin's BtH and of course the other +1 is Zoran's STR.

That's it. When you do checks, you add level and modifier. And for saves vs. evil, you get to add +2. So if you get shot by a sleepy arrow, it's 1d20+2+CON+2. (Well, I'm assuming the second +2 since these drow are probably the most evil enemies we've faced in this game.)


EDIT - If Baldhart gets shot by a sleepy arrow, I've got all kinds of stuff to remember to do.
#1 - Have a better idea of what her AC is vs. missiles with that anti-missile necklace.
#2 - Try my luck with the deflect missile skill.
#3 - Pray I don't botch the CON save, which will be sad considering all her bonuses.

This is why Aliron's to hit is so confusing:
Alirons arrows:
Is it day or night; +2 for arrows at night(diety)
Am I able to sneak attack? +2 (+4 damage)
elf +1 bow, +1 for level, +3 dex, +1 bow(magic),
{Poisoned or not}

Aliron blade:
Backstab +4, Sneak attack +2, +1 using long/short sword, +1 level, +1 scimitar magic, (note: backstab and sneak do not stack)

Bressel's is easy:
Bressel:
melee
+3 str +1 level.
missle:
+1 level

I haven't forgotten you guys. Was in too late yesterday to do anything, and have been at work since 7 AM due to a bunch of meetings and deadlines today. Just enough time for some hit and run posts, but I haven't finished the update yet!

OK, I'm at Dunkin Donuts and should be able to get the update done. I've been on the road most of this last week, and in the year 2015 hotel wifi is still nearly inoperable. At least at the two hotels I was at. Frustrating :/

I rolled two 19s in a row! The DEX check was a surprise, so only 10 damage. I hope the PCs who can't withstand 20 damage make the DEX check.

I also rolled 19 (29) with my STR check, but since my two-year-old puked on me, I had to go deal with all that vomit. So by the time I rolled the STR check, I wasn't logged in anymore. I was like, damn—there goes a perfectly good roll. Oh well. I logged in and rolled again and ended up rolling better!

So if Baldhart rolls a 30 with that kind of killing blow, is that like the Mountain vs. Viper version?

I had no expectations when I rolled that! Only a 10% chance of success. Hopefully Bressel and Zoran will have successful checks. Both have DEX as a prime, and both have bonuses (+4 PI for Bressel and +2 save vs. evil for Zoran), and both can actually shoot the caster.

I was thinking of what Baldy would do about the sleeping guys (or Nissa), but that nasty spell helped with the discerning process. Baldhart knows she's useless now, so she's going to keep trying to draw enemy fire (which seems to be working) while the rest of the party fills her with arrows.

It's possible the guy she killed would have been awake next turn. Baldy doesn't know Liadan's awake, but killed him and not the one who called her bitch because [1] he'd wake up first of the two, [2] killing him gets her away from Bressel and Zoran, and [3] if she keeps the caster's attention those kids can escape… maybe.

Oh, and [4] stick and stones…
