Cool! Does he get to double his spear specialization bonus? That makes the spear a powerful weapon in his hands. +3 to hit, 3-10 damage... and that's before adding strength!
How about attributes and/or height/weight? I drew Bressel as a big red-head and Aldar as a pipe-smoking, bearded elf. (Maybe I'll just redraw here at work rather than dig up the old pics.)
