I believe MP recovery is your level/hour, in the worst scenario she would take 7 hours to recover all her MP, in the best one around 4 hours. The trip to Srilkind takes 6 hours.

I should do a list with stuff Mauve still want to do before I forget everything, heh. Líadan will have access to new evil spells if she wishes, this after someone kicks Mauve awake.

Keitsumah should take 8 hours to fully recover hers.

Doesn't her CON mod factor into it somehow? And I don't think Liadan will want anything to do with those evil spells, heh. Wouldn't want to risk corrupting her.

Not that I know, it does only in HP.

Hehe, some of those spells are wizardly, but some aren't. There is one in particular I don't think she has an equivalent, and it's clericish. ;3

I had fun, too much to eat, and a hard time remembering all of my wife's friends. Chinese women and girls kept taking pictures with my daughters, which was too comical and non-threatening to worry me. It wasn't as hot and humid as I remembered it, but possibly the heat didn't bother me (much) because I didn't walk at the typical always-in-a-hurry pace which is how Hongkongers walk. I walked the speed of a guy on vacation with small children.

Oh, and I read Storm of Swords during the downtime. I read at the speed of a guy on vacation savoring a good book. …well, except when I got past the as-seen-on-HBO portion. Then, like a normal person, I throttled the book by its pages as if asking who's about to die here? Tell me, damn you!—especially in a particular scene near the end which involves a crossbow and poop.

Sounds like a good time overall. ^^ Glad you had fun!

Looks like Cadell's story-telling session will have to come later. I need to get to bed. Goodnight!

Wooooo, welcome back LS! Hey, the weather could be hot and dry, what is a way worse than hot and humid.

Sorry about the double post, but I have a question: What happens with your HP/MP when you level up? Do they pop up already "filled", don't they?

I've just realize that technically Mauve lied to Ankari about not being able to detect magic, for I didn't take her new mana point into consideration. Ops?

Can we still keep posting in Act II to wrap things up there? Cadell still needs to tell his story, after all.

Yes, the new amount you receive automatically applies.

Under the original Dungeons and Dragons rules, on which Castles & Crusades is based, reaching the appropriate XP meant that you were 'eligible' to level, but you didn't level right away. You had to go and further your training. If you were a mage, you'd go find a teacher to bring you along to the next level, etc. So if you hit the XP for the next level while in a dungeon, you still couldn't do anything about it until you had time to train somewhere. Over the course of that training you built up your new skills, new physical stamina (hp), and so on.

I don't generally run things that way unless players want to. Instead, when you hit a new level, you just get the mana, HP, and abilities. I just assume that the whole time you've been adventuring you've been honing your skills, reaching out for the next level of ability, and suddenly it just 'clicks.' Not quite as realistic, I suppose, as having to go and train extensively once you've reached the limit of your ability, before you can advance. But going to train can really slow things down, particularly in a forum-based game where things are already moving more slowly.

Yeah, definitely go ahead and do that. In fact, you guys can just stay in Act II until everyone is happy with it, and only respond to Act III when you're done. Or we can do them concurrently. Whichever the group prefers.

I've been in 110˚F [44˚C] dry heat in Arizona. I loved it because I didn't sweat and I was wearing jeans. I loved it less when I saw how pink my face was. I normally don't wear sunblock, so I wasn't ready for that. Not the worst sunburn I ever got, but yeah… I'd rather sweat than burn.

PS- I like your new avatar.

Not wearing sunblock, or worse, wearing big clothes in hopes of being protected from the sun like if the face didn't matter: One of the biggest mistakes tourists make here. xD

P.s.: Mauve feels fabulous!
