Hey guys - got in too late last night. Also, the upshot of the meeting I had was that I have until midnight EST tomorrow to complete a project, start to finish, that normally takes a couple of weeks. I'll be scarce between now and then, though I will be popping in and can provide brief updates. If you guys can continue the RP, that would be great. I'm going to post XP in just a minute (bonus points for not killing the harpy child).

Some basics for the RP in the meantime:

1. The room you are in is safe from intrusion for at least a full day's worth of rest, probably more. The lizards are scared of the place.

2. The harpy girl will eat meat that is offered to her. She doesn't eat much, and doesn't like it cooked. She isn't exactly friendly, but she won't try to bite or scratch anyone unless they hurt her or try to take away her doll. She doesn't understand your language, or you hers, though she can be made to understand by gesturing and so on. She'll pretty much sit or sleep where the party says, because she's scared of the group (or maybe just scared generally; she seems to realize the group isn't harming her; if you feed her that will put her more at ease). Also, Keit's flute seems to have a calming effect on her.

I think I'll have Cadell try to approach the harpy during the rest period. He has prime charisma, so maybe he can befriend her.

lol Keit and the harpy chick can agree on one thing at least: neither of them like fire.

Also, the cloak can be turned into some sort of clothing, so if Baldart gives the harpy to Keit while she crafts the cloak into something more wearable for the chick I think kept can handle her.

OH wait! What are we going to call her?:rolleyes:

Branwen, maybe? It's an elvish (okay, Welsh) name meaning 'beautiful raven'. I figure it's fitting because, being a harpy, her wings would look a bit like a raven's. Including the tattered bits of corpses. ^^;

EDIT: Random note -- Cadell has leveled up! Yay!

Some information that should be take into consideration:

Two rooms, circular and lake.
Circular: Has the cage, the campfire, is open at the top and now it's probably cold, it was said snowflakes were drifting inside it. Has a hallway leading the stone door which connects to the tunnels.
Lake room: Stinky lake, rocks, ledge, pile of bones and carcasses.

@Ireth
Congratulations! Soon I might, or not, level up too. *_*

You can roll or do the half die plus CON mod. Player's choice. But if you roll, you have to take the result even if it is lower than half die plus CON mod. You can roll on Rolz or Unseen Servant as usual.

I'll do the roll. ^^ Might as well do it here for sake of ease:

Better than a natural 1! ^^

I think I'll never roll, for I benefit a lot from the non-rolling rule. xD

Oh, I don't think we had an answer, or I forgot to take note: How does leveling up affects the MP (for casters)?

Do I roll the d12+3 to get my own HP, or is that something Steerpike does?
That's MY roll... and I DIDN'T roll. I took 10 so I wouldn't risk rolling and ending up with less... like 4.

If you have +1 in CON, you can take 7 without a roll. With no CON bonus it's 6. If you roll, 1d10+CON. So you chance a 1 or 2 hoping for a 10 or 11. (The no-roll option puts you just above the average roll. You're likely to come out ahead this way... depends how much you like to gamble!)

Nevermind... Steerpike has tables! I thought it was +1 MP for casters, and plus nothing for non-casters.

I only know for certain (?) a non-caster like Baldy has 1 MP for the rest of her life. And regeneration rate goes up. Basically, multiply the rate x your level. (I looked this up so I'd know how to make a Nissa appear.)

Well, I rolled a 6 anyway, so I guess it didn't matter what I took in this case. XDDD

Glad Baldy didn't do THAT! And as I said, that's a barbarian with an 18 in CON. Your roll is either 1d10+1 or plus NUTHIN!

Actually, I think it might even be -1 for the CON mod. I was looking at the race attributes again last night, and realized I've been forgetting to factor in my +1 DEX racial mod, and my -1 CON racial mod. So, given that I already have a +1 in DEX for an attribute mod, that nicely cancels out the -2 offhand penalty, I think. ^^

No, that just means pick a number from 2-17 instead of 3-18. So 6 HP, and you regenerate 3 HP in your sleep. (8 hours)

Basically, and elf can't have a +3 in CON (so don't roll like a barbarian! Bad elf!), and a dwarf can't have a -3 in CON. Vice versa with DEX for both races.
