When Reaver entered the mine, he was immediately engulfed in darkness. Very odd, he thought. The strings of crystal lanterns used by the miners to illuminate the shafts were as dead as…
Reaver’s ruminations were suddenly interrupted by the sound of women laughing. He retrieved a small orb-shaped lantern from the bag of holding attached to the belt he wore and shook it roughly. This awoke the four dragonfly-sized faeries trapped inside, causing them to glow an intense bluish-white light that brightened everything within a twenty foot radius.
He followed the eerily cheerful sound through the winding labyrinth of tunnels for an indeterminate amount of time until he entered a large, well-lit room. In the center of the room was a wide oval-shaped pool filled with bubbling, sapphire-blue water and six breathtakingly beautiful, completely nude Roku-Roku women.
All six women abruptly stopped their raucous laughter and fixed their gaze upon the knight-errant and stood in unison, their bronze, sculpted bodies seemed to shimmer in the room’s radiant light. Reaver was instantly transfixed. He didn’t even notice the gnarled, shriveled corpses of the nine Roku-Roku miners that lay strewn about the stone floor.
Once again in perfect unison, the stunning beauties extended their arms toward the paladin and beamed brightly. Reaver dropped the lantern and strode slowly over to them; there was only one thing on his mind: he was going to have them all.
The women quickly removed everything the knight-errant wore and pulled him into the warm, bubbling pool. Time and existence ceased to exist for Reaver as the women showered him with kisses and began performing all manner of sex-acts with him and each other.
Then suddenly, the familiar voice of Master Rubi filled Reaver’s mind: You are in great danger my boy! Those are not women! They are succubae!
The great master‘s warning immediately brought the paladin back to his senses. Reaver tore himself from the succubae’s claws and saw them in their true nightmarish form: they were hellish things, with disjointed bodies covered in mottled grey skin; their angular faces beset with eyes of glowing amber.
Their overlarge maws filled with rows of black, needle-like teeth opened up and released series of piercing screams that nearly ruptured the knight’s eardrums. With tears of pain filling his eyes, Reaver dove for his sword belt and drew his twin sabers.
Before the succubae had a chance to react, the paladin was upon them, his razor-sharp swords a blur as he decapitated all six in just seconds.
As the blood from the still writhing corpses stained the sapphire pool green, Reaver dressed slowly, still reeling from his brush with death. He silently thanked Master Rubi for saving him.
When Reaver went to collect his lantern, he was very irritated to see that the thick glass had broken and the faeries had escaped. He swore in High Elfish and threw the lantern down, completely shattering it.
Catching faeries was a damned difficult undertaking.
