Waxing Gibbous Requiem
Sun fire, moon water, star light burned and illuminated the Geidolaen from the inside
Once so seemingly a heartless, glacial, gelid, now a ruptured rend torn asunder
A bottomless abyss forming a broken chasm cracking in half
All was devoured by the raging, grieving light, by the swallowing, sorrowful darkness until
New light was born, evyer and aireborne, iridescently pure
The light bloomed and blossomed into crystalline flowers
The sixsome still fell, deep and deeper still until
They ghosted into the dragon’s heart cocooned
By the spectral, silent shade into solace
Protecting, saving, guarding
The crystal-rounded womb surrounding them
Effulgent from the incandescent light
A being lay sepulchrally inside that crystal heart
Trapped within the own heart
The dragon’s spirit lay, staring frozenly
Seeking freedom yet refusing to heal
All six knew what name that spirit guarded
They knew both names of the dragon and the shade as easily as their own
Kamui and Hiruko, separated by their own creation
Hiruko and Kamui, created by their own separation
All light and love, yet far, far away
So distant, ethereal beings
So wondrous strange, so indescribably beautiful
So full of celesicant soul music
Maidens three and Ainnae three were once long ago
Two beings, two entities, now shade and dragon trapped within their own hearts
In birth, death
In dying, life
Such a cataclysmic birth reverberated, becoming six forms and shadows
All imprisoned: one by ghostly darkness, one by frozen light
One by Monosera form
One by Beonu form
One by Geidolaen form
One by by Okamidai form
One by Kitsune form
One by Kraukaira form
How to reunite?
Would the sixsome embrace reunion?
What would be their final choice?
All one or no one?
Freedom or flight?
Even they did not know
For were they only five now?
Sisina lay there brokenly, surrounded by light and heart she could not see
Red eyes wide and eerie, staring at nothing
Burned, so burned by rage and pain and grief
Burned, so burned by storm and fire and desolation
Trying to breathe, trying again and again and again to breathe
Then all was silence
Sedrik turned defiantly away from both dragon spirit and shade
Eyes grey by heartbreaking guilt and grief
Nikolai was shuddering and shivering so hard from shock and blame etched into his face
Ishley only stared lightlessly, as if he, too, had failed to breathe
All light and laughter had faded from Anthea’s now flat and seemingly sightless eyes
Elsi’s entire form withered despondently, eyes dull and pale
They tried again and again and again
To repair the ruined remains of their once spectacular ship
Over and over and over again
They lifelessly chanted
Songs of mending
Songs of repairing
Songs of restoring
What was once joyous and spirited, yet now lost
The ship herself refused repairs, refused gossamer veils of song
Denying them, it seemed, for only being penta
Though the ship was at last held together by mere spider’s thread of spells
The fivesome nevertheless departed from the dragon’s heart
From darkness to light, the twin spirits watched them flee silently
Haunt, Haunting, Haunted
Full Moon Finale
The return journey was tormented by all the same dangers as before
Yet all was worsened without Sisina
Without their heart, the fivesome were solely despairing
The dragon’s back was still a howling giant encrusted with gelid ice and forceful gales
Thrice the dilapidated vessel nearly crashed
Thrice more pieces of the very network began crumbling into lost fragments
The Barrenlands were still lonesome and forgotten
The dragon bones lay silenced and solemn in their graveplane
The fiercesome storms in the Whirlshade Wilderness
Nearly cracked the fragile vessel apart
Yet the illusions of the Fata Morgana caused worse damage piece by piece
Inside the fivesome’s broken hearts until
The mast gave a mighty tremor and became a mere twig
Spiralling into that unpredictable river
The Lake of Lethe
The ship was a ship no more
Only a shattering platform
Upon which the fivesome balanced ever so precariously
The once magnificent ship had been vanquished
The uniqueness was breaking apart
Yet the platform held together
Though only by a spirit’s whisper
Down into the Veil the splintering ship descended
Shattering into slivers all the while until
The full weary windsome weight of exhaustion and despair
Reached the fateful pinnacle
Everything collapsed into the Veil
As the ship’s wheel slipped beneath the water without a sound
No one so much as twitched as they lay there
Waiting patiently for the Veil to reclaim their memories
Cocooned by the Veil’s rippling waves
Surrounded by the Veil’s rhythmic melody
No one even wanted to continue
Or perhaps they simply could not continue anymore
Dark light dawned as they realized they had simply been fleeing
from fate, from what must happen, from something wholly inevitable
Repercussions of their actions, of their flight, of their fall
Created a voluminous, massive wave of the Reservoir
The storm swelled in a strange symphony
The wave shuddered and undulated sharply, swiftly, suddenly
Transforming into a water dragon swimming to swallow all
As the last remnants of the ship became the white dragon bridge once more
The white bridge remained pristine, including the former beautiful figurehead
Intact as they dragged themselves onto the smooth scales of their dragon
They stood there, barely able to support each other
Flinching in anticipation yet keeping each other from turning and fleeing again
For there was nowhere to go but onwards
Onwards to whatever fate lay beyond
Sedrik’s weary face gradually shifted into inner calmness
No more hidden guilt and blame
Nikolai’s remote face gradually transformed into inner tranquility
No more hidden worry and fear
Ishley’s solemn face gradually metamorphed into inner serenity
No more hidden anxiety and shame
Anthea’s desolate face gradually changed into inner peace
No more grief and hollowness
Elsi’s despairing face gradually transgressed into inner harmony
No more sorrow and hopelessness
All five knew, just for an instant
Sisina smiling for them
Just as the dark wave closed over all with a cacophonous roar
Then silence fell
Though shade and spirit transcended
Haunt, Haunting, Haunted
Golden Dawn Coda
Melody came again, at long last
Softly, so softly, a sweet sigh alighting all with song
Rhythm formed all
Dancing in rippling white waves
Through many planes and lives
Through love and light, haunting
The white dragon bridge grew so tall
Into a delicate crystal tower
Spiraling, arching, undulating
Serpentinely into the sky
Patterned with pure energy
Scaled with iridescent crystals
The light white dragon created
A fusion with the dark water dragon
The twin dragons became one
Forming the silent tower curving quietly
The pinnacle was a gently budding flower before bloom
Reaching for the golden light above
The sixsome were all one
Transcendent at long last again
Twin spirits finally free
Kamui and Hiruko
Resplendent and ethereal
All in final glory
The spirits flew through light, through love
Adorned with golden-feathered celestial cloaks
Flowing through the Reservoir
All of Mythaven was purified in mellifluous harmony
Coiling and uncoiling evermore
All glowing softly with inner light revealed
The Reservoir rippled
The twin spirits sang rapturously
As they incarnated into newborn forms
Incarnating as twin children
Completely identical
Completely different
Kamui born that name
No longer
Kamui had lived
Became three Ainnae
Yet now lived again
Renewed, rebirth, revitalized
Hiruko born that name
No longer
Hiruko had lived
Became three maidens
Yet now lived again
Rejuvenated, rebirth, revived
The twins lay, nestled together
Curled as light and dark
Inside their translucent, opalescent egg
Breathing in, breathing out
Creating their own special soul music
With each harmonious breath
They lay inside their egg inside the tower born of dragons
Somnolent and dreamy and lethargic
Awaiting continuing cycles of transcendence
Until Omniad was born, though that would not be for many Ages
Awake and dreaming, aware and sleeping
Pensive and alert, paradoxes all at once
Their souls and spirits sang in tandem
Joyously and destiny creating
Harmoniously, peacefully, serenity
Tranquility, calmness, equanimity
Concord with both the Reservoir and Mythaven
Singing of love and light
Haunt, Haunting, Haunted
